Product Description
Pro-Grow Peat-Free Vegetable Growing Compost is a staple for any allotmenteer, home or professional vegetable grower. It contains high levels of organic matter which in dry sandy soils will help to hold on to water and nutrients so that they are readily available to the vegetable plant roots. In heavier clay soils, it will help to break up the soil so that excess water can drain easily, and make the soil so much easier to work with while you're planting your veggies!
**MINIMUM ORDER 8 TONNES**

Directions for Use
First, break up the soil in your vegetable patch or allotment to the depth of a garden fork (around 30-40cm). Then, spread Pro-Grow Vegetable Growing Compost onto the area of soil you just dug up to a depth of at least 5-10cm. Finally, give the soil one last fork over, and then water the compost in.
If growing in containers, mix 1 part Pro-Grow Vegetable Growing Compost with 2 parts garden soil, before filling your containers. If you don’t have any garden soil available then you can also use Pro-Grow Premium Topsoil.
Add an organic plant feed during the growing season as required - this is especially important if growing fruiting crops such as tomatoes.
Pro-Grow Vegetable Growing Compost can also be used as a mulch (soil covering) to to preserve moisture in the soil and protect plant roots from frosts. Spread Pro-Grow Vegetable Growing Compost at a depth of at least 5cm being careful not to put the compost in direct contact with the plant stem.
At a depth of 5cm, a 1,000L bag will cover 20m². At a depth of 10cm it will cover 10m².
